There can only be one

Our blind judging panel puts every wine through the bracket until one bottle emerges as Ontario’s Ultimate Wine champion.

Competition Rules

  • One wine per winery.

  • All entries must be made with 100% grapes grown in Ontario.

  • Red, white, sparkling, rosé, orange and Icewine are all eligible.

  • The wine must be available for sale when entered.

  • A minimum of 10 cases must be available at the time of entry.

  • Three bottles are required for judging.

  • Entry fee is $50, payable by e-transfer to twoguystalkingwine@gmail.com.

  • All wines are tasted fully blind.

  • Wines are randomly drawn into a single-elimination bracket.

  • There are no style or varietal categories — every wine competes for the same title.

  • Each matchup is decided by Michael Pinkus and André Proulx.

  • If the judges are split, Tony Aspler casts the deciding vote.

  • Entries must be received by September 30, 2026.

  • Only one wine will be crowned Ontario’s Ultimate Wine 2026.
